I have noticed many wooden boards in Tartu where have written different apothegms. Many walls and bridges are full of sayings. For now I have shoot only some of these. I got this idea two and half years ago.  I still have no idea why it took so long for photographing. My favourites are apothegms on a wooden board.

Street drawings in Tartu part 1

Finally I have collected photo material for a blog which had to be done last month. But sadly I lost photos due to computer crash and I had to take new ones. Plenty of drawings can be seen during the walking in Tartu. Some of them are just scibbles, others are true art. Many of them are with political message. I like street drawings which are made for decorating house wallsas house wall decoration, not to forward personal message. Drawings for decoration is usual in Tartu. But these are seen in tne next part of the series.

Canoeing on the river Emajõgi

Second spring in a row I decided to go on the river Emajõgi with a canoe and enjoy nice weather with a good company. This time was nine people alltogether. So I rented three canoes.
The night before I got a messag that maybe I can pick up all the stuff in the evening , and take the canoes in the morning. It doesn't fit me at all , because I don't have car and it's bit difficult to carry nine people's stuff. Luckily I made a deal that I just come bit earlier in the morning. In the morning I got a call that the renting firm that the owner of the canoes got sick and I get the canoes on time. I didn't mint it at all, otherwise I just had to wait a bit on a landing-stage and paddle with my feet. We started to move at 10.30. Weather was sunny and really warm. This time we moved in the direction of Peipsi. A lot of motor boat and jet ski drivers who didn't reduce speed when they pass and made waves were on the river. Same day airplane show took place in the Tartu airport, where NATO fighters made test flights and drew hearts with the smoke in the sky. I even went swimming first time this year, even two times. And already made a barbeque. Moving back from the barbeque place, thunder clouds were closing. Luckily we didn't get much rain but saw some thunder bolts. Canoeing back was much harder, company started to get tired and we had to paddle against stream. But I hope everyone were happy. my bottom was hurting when we arrived and some days later the skin started to come off from my hands. I would like to thank Ah ja Oh Matkasõbrad staff whose canoes we used. I recommend thid company to others as well, because it's really cheap.

Emajõe festival

Emajõe festival took place in Tartu couple of weeks ago. It was first time and it had to be barbecue and beer festival. A day ticket cost 10 euros and two day's ticket 15 euros. I decided to buy a day ticket, because I went there to listen some bands. Organizers were probably happy about the weather, because it was sunny and warm. About 30 degrees in Celsius.

In my opinion the fest was booring. I was hoping to see different beer and barbecue products, that can't be bought from every shop. Already was hoping to see different beer and barbecue showrooms where masters teach how to make different things. Unfortunately there wasn't these kind of things. It was possible to try benji jump but it cost 40 euros, so bit to expensive at the moment. But I wanted to try it. For the first time I tokk part of the Guiness world record. I helped to make longest sandwich . Record was made and it was something around 1 km. There was plenty of attractions for children, different trampolines, a tent where acts, science experiments and face paintings took place. Children already had a chance to caress sheep, goats, rabbits and to ride a horse or pony. My job was photographing Jessica's taughter Gerli. 

Bands were good. Unfortunately people were really dizzy during the Metsatõll's gig, probably because the heat, bud band members rocked. Singer Vinger's gig in the evening was the best, even the crowd were frantic.
