Recalling the last year's spring

Spring started yesterday and so I took a look at my last spring's photos. I found that I had totally forgotten a folder full of photos. So I had to correct my mistake and sorted those photos and merged some panoramas. Looking the photos I realized that I got so many photos last spring. Probably it was nice spring, full of sunny days and free time. I hope that this year the spring will offer me enough time and weather to take photos, hike and just spend some time outside with a good company.

Auroras that painted the sky

17.03.2015 took place extraordinary magnetic storm, which result were auroras. Even in France was able to see auroras. I hadn't seen so powerful auroras before and it was gripping me to look up to the sky for many hours. And if I hadn't felt so cold and hadn't had to work next morning then probably I had looked auroras whole night. I looked auroras 3-4 km from Tartu and saw many other people when I moved back home. Unfortunately I didn't get good photos, cos I had 50 mm f1.8 Canon's lens which isn't a good lens to photograph auroras and focal distants is too long. But it made me to think about wide angle lens.

Grass snake's moment being a model

Some blogs ago I promised to write a short story about a grass snake who took all my attention from the people I had to photographed. I have never been a admirer of the snakes, but during the last few years I have had two moments when I have photographed grass snake. And those snakes have been like a models in front of my kamera, steady and bit curious. I have discovered that itäs really easy to photograph snakes and getting a good photo is almost quaranted. Probably the main thing about my interest of snakes is the fear that s much people have. A lot of people can't even watch the photos about snakes, but I have to admit that grass snakes look quite cute on the photos..
