It's been a long time when it was a summer but photo editing took much more time than photographing. At the end of the June I decided to go to Turku Archipelago by bike and take a time off. Actually every year I try to take some time to my self, when I just go somewhere at least for a week. The summer before I discovered traveling by bicycle for myself. It's the best way to see everything and at the same time moving fast enough to take long distances with short time.
1. day
Waking up at 4 am after two and a half hour sleep, cos football match was to gripping, is quite difficult. First time I felt, that it is good to cycle in Tallinn, cos that time there wasn't any traffic. Anticipation, which was getting bigger and bigger for the third day in a row, was really high when I arrived to port of Tallinn. For a surprise for myself, I arrived to Helsinki trainstation quite early. But also the first troubles already starting to happen there. Rear wheel nut, which I had changed couple of days ago in Tartu, didn't hold the wheel straight. Thread was off. Cos I didn't take the speare nut with me, I had to wait till Turku, where I looked the bycicle store quite a long time. Luckily I found one and got the nut. So I moved on to Kaarina, trying to find the right way, cos I didn't have a good map with me. In Kaarina I looked the road to Pargas, which was complicated too. The only sightseeing that day was Kuusisto nature trail to chapel hill and bishop's castle. On the nature trail I ate the first blueberryies this year and these weren't even sour. Already saw a little squirel, unluckily I didn't get a photo. I had to sleep in the forest, cos there wasn't good shore. Lot of up and down cycling.

2. day
In the morning I saw a grass snake, unfortunately I didn't get any photos cos it was too fast and I was on the bike, so it took a time to get my camera out and so on. The first main stop was in Pargas, which was nice little city. I would even like to live there, I visited a knitting house, where everyone can come and knit or to other this kind of things. After that I visited local lore museum. In the evening when I read about it I found that there was even a ticket and I had know idea about id during my visit. Actualy I even wondered turing my visit that isn't here any ticket cos I got really good excursion. I really enjoyed the view to the local mine, it was something different. Already visited my first cafe. I am just some kind of cafe person. Soon I moved on to Lenholmen's and Sattmark's hiking trail. I took my bike with me on the Sattmark's hiking trail and it was the biggest mistake I made. The trail ran on a rocky terrain over the tree roots where was really easy to break a bike even when I pull it next to me. It was already the reason why I didn't make the whole trail. In the evening i arrived to Nauvo island, where I stayed in the old ski jump base.

3. day
Started a day with walking on a hiking trail. The first hiking trail was Parola's hiking trail, 2,5 km long and 35 m height difference. It went along the ski jump tower where I went up and enjoyed a view. Terrain varied a lot during the trail. Forest with a stoney ground changed to a road between gentle fields. I even saw a rabbit on the road. The secong hiking trail was Kasberget, 4,4 km long and 49,3 m height difference. It took on the highest peek of the archipelago. After it I moved on by bike. First stop was glass studio which placed only some kilometers away. There was outstandingly cool thing made of glass and already the price was outstandingly high. So I started to move on to Kirjais. On the road I took a 4 km long and with 30 m height difference hiking trail. On the trail suddenly I heard like something moved. So I stopped and so did it too. It was a deer, about 20-30 meters from me and just stared me. I tried to move silently bit closer to get good position for photographing. And I got some photos, cos it was really curious. After the trail, was time to move on and visit a stone design studio. There was different thingf made of stone, like vine bottle holder and candlesticks. But the time went fast and so I rush a bit and went to Nagu. In the local yacht port I wisited a sauna, which was the best thing I wished for. After the sauna it started to rain. It was raining the whole evening. So I took a ferry and moved to Korppo. Luckily I got a change to sleep in the cloths changing cabin on the lokal beach. There was a roof and bench. So I had a chance to try my soaked cloths.

4. day
In the morning the sky was clear again and sun was shining. I moved to Rumar, where was lighthouse like weather forecast tower. Atound the tower was short hiking track which run on the stoney ground with short pines. After that I moved on to Korpoström. Korpoström is the center of archipelago and I fully recommend for sailors to go there. In the port is also archipelago info center and inside was different exhibitions. Stayed there many hours and enjoyed the weather and view. Finally it was time to move to Houtskär island. After the long ferry trip, moved to Jervis, where was lookout tower with a view to surrounding islands. When I arrived to Näsby I tryed to move to the boat museum using the rhe road signs. Unluckily it was closed couple of minutes ago but the owner was still there and showed th boat that they build at the moment. It was a museum where local boatbuilders build new boats using old boat's drawings. All the boats are going to be selling to get money for the museum. Quite close were local beach where I went swimming despite the cold water. I decided to spend a night in the same beach. If the tent was up and clothes were washed and hanged for drying, then I got knew that it's not allowed to camp. So I had to pack my things and find a new place. Luckily found a good place near the road in the forest. Legs were quite tired and during the day it was necessary to go on using brain not the muscles.

5. day
In the morning some of clothes were still wet. So I tied some of the clothes onto the bicycle and went back to Näsby. I imagine that it was quite funny for some of the people when my clothes wlutter when I cycled. The market was opened and I decided to walk a bit and look around. I visited the boat museum, which I wanted to visit yesterday. There was separate houses for boats and accessories and boat motors. In the boat house was really good tar smell that has always liked me. Really recommend to visit this museum. Little away was local history museum which already belongs to a boat museum. I was bit sad that I couldn't stayed there longer cos in the evening regatta took place. I had to catch the ferry. In the port of Mossala was cool camping place and I even wondered how much the staying will cost there. After an hour ferry trip (only ferry with ticket fee) moved to the next port, where I got bit earier than I thought and had a change to visit local cafe. In Leonsaari I thought first time to stay in official camping place. After knowing the price, which was 18 euros sleeping in a tent, I disclaim and moved on. So I decided to go to Hakkenpää, where was the port for next ferry. A rabbit ran about two meters next to me when I was cycling down from one hill. It was just a good experience. In Hakkenpää, firstly went to local port to watch the ferry timetable. In some days it goes twice a day and some days once a day. Discovered surrounding and found a good place for camping. Just for case I asked from a local pub is it allowed to camp there. I got an answer that if no one say that you don't than feel free and camp there. For an intrest to a local pub life I decided to buy a ticket which cost 8 euros. Luckily there was a change to watch football and local star musician sang. During the evening got a lot of practice in Finnish. Most of the time I just listened, cos it was to difficult to answer. It was good evening.

6. day
In the morning enjoyed local beach and rest my legs. Ferry went 15.45. I wanted to buy strawberries but unfortunately strawberries were sold out and so I had to find a new place to get some. Time went fast and soonly was the time to move on the ferry and go to the port of Velkua, where I started my way to the beach which placed near to Merimasku. On the road I got my strawberries. It took plenty of time to find the right way to the beach. Luckily I got some help from local strawberry seller, who guide me really well. After it I got to the beach really fast. There were even a table with two benches and barbeque owen with a roof. I didn't cycle much to get some energy back. I still had some days to go.

7. day
Started easy ride to Rymättylä. In Rymättyle made a little walk and took some time off on the beach. The intention was to go to Hanka and back. After one hour stay on the beach, decided to visit local shop and buy a cold ice cream. Due to really warm days I just ate plenty of ice cream. Cycling to Hanks with strong headwind was tiring. Put I can't complain cost wind is a phenomenon to islands. 1,5 kilometers before Hanka was a lookout tower in th forest, which I visited. When I got back to my bike and started my lunch I met a ornithologist, who was really interested to listen. He observe the birds to get information for his doctoral thesis. Due to bird watching he has walked enough kilometers to make many times around the earth. He looked really smart person. After finishing my lunch it was time to move to the port of Hanka. I have to say that it was quite boring place and didn't spend much time there. Luciky I got tail wind when I cycled back and it was so much easier. Again I spent some time on the beach of rymättylä. Finally I moved back to the same beach where I spent last night.

8. päev
In the morning when I woke up I got a surprise. I found a letter next to my tent, where was a message in Estonian. It made me really happy. It was good start for a day. When I arrived to Naantali, I left my bike near the sea and start to discover surrounding by foot. Visited two museums, one was local history museum and the other one was handicraft museum. Naantali is actualy special place, cos Moomins live there. Unfortunately I didn't visit the Moominworld but I went in an officil Moomin shop. After a long walk I decided to sit down and enjoy the weather. After some time on girl asked me about the bus to Turku. I wasen't sure about it so I can't told the answer but she got the answer from a guy who standed couple of meters away. We chat a bit before she left. She was from Russia but studies in Finland. She just arrived from her trip. She traveled from Northern-Finland to Northern-Norway. It's one of the journeys I like to take in the future. When she left, I started to move again. I walked a bit on the seaside and moved back to the place I left my bike. I layed on the warm rocks and though about tomorrow. I mostly not staying long time in one place so I moved back to the center to get some fresh water and get some shade cos sun was really active. In the evening I just needed a cup of coffee. When I sat down in the city center and drank my coffee, one guy came and started to talk about his sad destiny. He talked about his Estonian friends, and stoped quite often to ask me, do I know his friends. Every time I said no and he was so surprised about that. When I finished my coffee I moved back to my bike and made some photos on the shore.

After little swimming I moved to Turku to visit some museums and see local life. Already took a time from Naantali to Turku railway station, cos I needed it next day. The first sightseeing I chose was Turku castle. On the way to the castle I saw that on the local port is some kind of marine exhibition. People had a change to see the militacy ships inside. Some time later I finally arived to the castle. It was really interesting place and the ticket for students was only 5 euros. It took so much time that I tdidn't make to other museums. In te castle I got a Finnish guided tour. But most rooms in museum I had to visit by myself. Later just walked in Turku and then went back to Naantali

And the last day had arrived. I moved to Turku and back to Helsinki by train. Spent my day in Helsinki and in the evening moved to Tallinn. My first bicycle tour alone had ended. I really enjoyed it.
